Mangiare! (2012)
This drawing was made in response to several scenes in Luchino Visconti’s film Il Lavoro (The Job). This film was originally one of four films included in Boccaccio 70 a series of films inspired by the 14th Century book of short stories Decameron by Giovanni Boccaccio. The the background has my altered copy of a portion of Goltzius' engraving of Cupid and Venus.
