room to keep and room to give
up-stairs for hope and resting
down-stairs for the letting go
not too far from day to day
but close enough to get away
from

it’s quiet inside this place
where each cough is hardly heard
where the dust-motes circle up
to the edge of each shadow
and this place wanted to be
what you had in mind - but for
time
