Lammin' Full Series
In 2024 I curated a print portfolio called "Lost and Found" where artists printed onto found surfaces. This series of prints is my contribution to the project. The work is somewhere between a monoprint series and a variable edition.
I began by unbinding a vintage children's book called Best Nursery Tales and selecting pages that spoke to me intuitively. Then I redacted most of the imagery and text by printing a white layer over all the pages. The imagery redaction is nearly the same on all the prints, but the text varies to expose a different phrase on each print. I created new imagery that is inspired by the phrases and remnant imagery from the original book pages. The text and imagery return to themes related to how we learn to experience food in our lives.
