Mangiare! (2012)
These drawings were made for my solo exhibition Meal Scene at Santa Reparta International School of Art in Florence, Italy in June 2012. I set out to make a series of drawings in response to scenes in Italian film. Food is so important in Italian culture and it tends to show itself in the cinematography too. For most of these pieces I drew with graphite or ink over a screen-printed image of a clothe napkin.
