EATING PRACTICE (Current Portfolios) > Little Kitchen Situation

This project explores the kitchen as place, object, and character in a narrative.

I created a scaled-down cardboard modular kitchen and asked a
young couple to act out various kitchen tasks such as making a meal, putting away groceries, and washing dishes. These images are the result of my observations of their movements in this awkwardly small space. The print series explores the layering of time and space and the interactions of the characters while the little kitchen becomes a third character that interacts with the couple and changes with our point of view.

The series is shown with a paper miniature scale model of the original little kitchen where this drama played out.
